One gram of these threads is roughly 150 hand-picked crocus flowers, which is why saffron gets sold like jewelry and faked like it, too. Ours is all-red Grade I: no yellow style, no cut corners. Bloom a pinch in warm water and watch it pour gold into a pan of rice.
